This is becoming like a bad Ground Hog's Day movie! The can that Congress keeps kicking down the road needs to be kicked again.  The NFIP is scheduled to expire on November 30.  If allowed to expire or Lapse, anyone expecting to buy or sell a home in a flood zone, that requires flood insurance, will be put on hold until the can is either kicked again or our government finally puts together the long term extension that was passed by the House of Representatives earlier this year. The election is over, time for the lame duck session to get to work and if it is kicked down the road, for the incoming Congress to handle this issue. Realtors have been out there fighting for our property owners.  It is about time for our government to do the same.
